Dear Ghoulfriend,
I slept with a guy on the first date and he hasn't called me since. I'm really hurt and disappointed by it, but I guess I shouldn't have slept with him so soon. He seemed to really like me and was saying very flattering things to me, even after we slept together, so I'm kind of surprised he hasn't been in touch. Should I call him or wait for him to call me?

Dear Confused,
Don't call him and don't hold your breath waiting for him to call you. I'm quite certain the man you slept with is dead. There is no other plausible explanation for his silence. No man has ever slept with a woman and failed to call her afterwards; it is simply not in their nature. They are all sensitive, considerate, caring creatures and would never use your weaker moments to their own advantage. Only one thing would prevent a man from dutifully calling a woman with whom he has been intimate, and that is death. Permanent death. Perhaps you should send flowers to his grave.
