Dear Ghoulfriend,
Which means of execution is preferable: electrocution, hanging or lethal injection?
-Mike Smiley
Dear Mike,
All means of execution are 100% effective in achieving mortal death, but of the three methods about which you inquired, only hanging is approved by The League.
Electrocution very often chars vital portions of the brain and renders the corpse incapable of reanimation. While we can still utilize the body to feed our less fortunate members, we prefer that all corpses retain the ability to become fully animated and ambulatory. We need dues-paying members!
Lethal injection is, by far, the least preferred method of killing, and we would like to see it abolished in human society. The chemicals employed to accomplish death in this manner destroy the brain completely and the body becomes so infused with toxins that it is unusable as food. This is an unconscionable waste of good flesh and we abhor the practice.
Hanging, or strangulation, while somewhat uncomfortable, preserves the brain, and the corpse is able to get up and go within a few minutes after mortal death is pronounced. Generally, the ghoul who has suffered death by hanging has a pronounced tilt of the head, but this is easily corrected at any of our surgical centers worldwide.
Love,
Ghoulfriend
